Teach us, dear Lord, to number our days
That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Oh, satisfy us early with Thy mercy
That we may rejoice and be glad all of our days.
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us.
And establish Thou the work of our hands
And let the beauty of the Lord be upon us
And establish Thou the work of our hands dear Lord

I would appreciate prayer as I return to seminary (yesterday) for the third quarter of the year. In some ways it feels easier and in some much more difficult than it did three months ago. Last night I remembered reading that the 6th-8th month period after a loss can be one of the worst as the shock is finally wearing off and the reality setting in. I would also appreciate prayer for my friend Lynda who this week is navigating the one year anniversary of her husband's death. As I watch her, I am glad I didn't wait a year to come back, since our son's death happened at the beginning of the school year. There is no easy time; as my daughter says, "You just have to do it."
Praying for you and your friend, Gannet.
praying for you too.
