Amen. The church I'm serving is in a tough and sad place, possibly on its way out of existence, and this is a time for tears, especially for the members who have attended there for many, many years. I believe in the power of the resurrection, but I also believe there is no shame in death when the time is right. I pray that I will be able to help them discern the way to be faithful.

Please pray for Phyllis, my teacher Eva's mother...her spouse died a few months ago and she is lingering between death and life, but terrified to let go.
Wow, Songbird... There's lots to think about with your post. How many courses and classes are there on "church planting" and none on "church dying." And yet... when the season is ended... sigh...
