Gracious God, open our hearts and eyes to the wonders of your presence among us in all forms of being. Help us to reach beyond ourselves so that our love and concern embraces all creation that shares this universe with us: people of every nation, animals of every species, all forms of vegetation, the planets, stars, and all the elements. We pray this in union with the incarnate Word of God in whose image all was created. May you be blessed throughout the ages and for all eternity. Amen. -- from Carmelite Prayer For Mother Earth

Prayers of a gratitude for a day that included a very healing yoga class, and then a much needed haircut, which was healing in its own way, I think.

I'm just for grateful for the time and resources to be able to spend a day in this way.

Rejoicing with you, Juniper.

This was Julian's due date so quite the emotional up-and-down. Lots of sadness, lots of prayer and self-care and love from my sweet rugrats, lots of joy, then back to sadness. May hang on a bit as I prepare to move and come upon on Mother's Day and Rachel's anniversary right after. So I would appreciate prayers that I can keep feeling the feelings, taking them to prayer, comforting myself and releasing them, and being gentle with myself and others...

Laura, prayers for you indeed...take care of yourself as you grieve what was, what might have been, and yet still celebrate what is...sigh...

ML -
I remember all too well being close to the birth of my 1st child, and knew that a fellow church member had lost her baby 2nd trimester and was also due the same time. My heart is with you.

The feelings are deep and hard - but God's love is deeper and stronger than our pain... and releasing them into those Strong Hands is a good thing..
peace
Deb
