Tuesday Prayer

God our Mother,
Living Water,
River of Mercy,
Source of Life,
in whom we live
and move
and have our being,
who quenches our thirst,
refreshes our weariness,
bathes
and washes
and cleanses
our wounds,
be for us always
a fountain of life,
and for all the world
a river of hope
springing up in the midst
of the deserts of despair.
Honor and blessing,
glory and praise
to You forever.

Amen.

Please pray for my inspiration and focus as I prepare a paper proposal for next year's Medieval Academy meeting. It's due today so thank heavens for email, and I am hoping that the vicodin will target my broken toe and spare my brain cells!

oh, I like this a lot.

ML: prayers for you! may your toe heal and, as someone said to me on the eve of ordination exams--may you have access to your best thoughts.

I LOOOOOVE the Medical Mission Sisters! Thank you for this.

Praying for you, Laura.

Will you please keep me and mine in your prayers - my DH is trying to pass a kidney stone and my stepson is being incredibly difficult. He will be 18 in 8 more days and he is sure feeling it.

Oh, prayers for sure MB. What on ordeal on all levels.

Thanks, everyone, for your prayers. I had a very good day considering it all and sent off a nice proposal by 9:30 p.m.--not even the complete last minute!

Please pray for Annie Clark, who is 29 and had a sudden stroke last night. She underwent surgery and to the best of my knowledge has yet to regain consciousness.

Please pray also for her friends Kristin and Dan who are very worried about her and will be married this Saturday; she was supposed to officiate and scrambling to replan things. (Which is why I will now be officiating--we meet tomorrow morning and I hope I can be at least a little pastoral comfort to them).

Thanks.

Prayers going up for all...

And a short update on my young friend from several days ago...His fiancee is pregnant, but the dates do not quite work for the baby to be his, although it is barely possible. He is struggling with many decisions right now. He still does not have any firm answers, and his fiancee is now avoiding him. He is also having health issues of his own and beginning a new job. Stress upon stress! Please please pray for them both, and for the baby.
