Let all the World in Every Corner Ring

Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King!
The heavens are not too high, His praise may thither fly,
The earth is not too low, His praises there may grow.
Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King!

Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King!
The church with psalms must shout, no door can keep them out;
But, above all, the heart must bear the longest part.
Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King!

George Herbert 1593-1632

Beautiful image and text, too.
I am relieved as both drains and dog are unplugged. Sometimes we all need professional help, a good reminder!

A great hymn of praise, just as our prayer of praise and thanksgiving rings out. Gifted & Talented starts an exciting new job tomorrow. We are relieved that our financial worries are abated, but we are even more thankful that this is a job he will enjoy. We have been blessed. Please keep him in your prayers as he starts this new adventure on Wednesday. He's a little nervous.

Praying for you, MLR! and G&T too.

Songbird...what a great metaphor for Lent, hmm? Cut down to the basics so we can get, uh, unplugged?

mmmmmmm....

Thanks for prayers answered...good work done on retreat and I am hoping to feel relaxed about it by noon on Friday when I leave for the retreat center.

I've arranged to take the whole day off Friday in order to do final things and (I hope) spend some quiet time with the materials. Continued prayers will be appreciated.

We are using curriculum (?) from Ellen Shepherd's "A River in the Desert: 12 Retreats for Women's Groups." She is a UMC clergywoman.

The retreat we are doing is called, "If Only I Had More Time!" So appropriate.
