Guide Me Into An Unclenched Moment

Gentle me,
Holy One,
into an unclenched moment,
a deep breath,
a letting go
of heavy expectancies,
of shriveling anxieties,
of dead certainties,
that, softened by the silence,
surrounded by the light,
and open to the mystery,
I may be found by wholeness,
upheld by the unfathomable,
entranced by the simple,
and filled with the joy
that is you.

I would like to ask this group to pray for me and my family, and also for two special congregations. I have accepted the call to a new church in another state. Those of you who are familiar with the Presbyterian process know that there are still a few steps to go, but "if the way be clear" we will be moving in May. Please also pray that we can sell our house -- it officially went on the market over the weekend. Obviously this needs to be kept confidential, so I will not be blogging about these changes until some other steps have been completed. But I am very excited!

Prayers for Alex and her future, her family, and the churches.

I like Ted Loder and the Guerillas of Grace. Thanks for posting this at the beginning of the week, and my finding it today.
