Wednesday: Scars

Scars are not a sign that you are dead, it shows that you have survived.

Gracious God,
The scars that show are like medals that I have received.
From the world that is not always fair.
From persons who mean to cut me, for reasons I do not understand.
As for today, there is healing, now I am whole in a new way.
With scars that show, and scars that are inside.
I am here today to say that I did not do it alone.
The healing happened because of faith and trust.
Believing that I will survive.
For your grace and mercy, I am thankful.
