Though the fig tree does not blossom
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
thought there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet, I will rejoice in the Lord
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer
he enables me to go on the heights.
the last words of the prophet Habakkuk

Amen.
In the midst of good health news there is disappointing job news, and I am confused and troubled, thinking I am not looking in the right direction or not listening to the right voice. My prayer is to see and hear clearly. (The news was not "no" but "not yet," and it raised a concern about whether I want what I thought I wanted. Sorry to be so opaque, but that's the best I can do here.)
Oh, sorry to hear this, Songbird. Hang in there.
