A Prayer For Those in Trouble of Any Kind

O merciful God, who taught us in your holy word that you would not willingly affict us, look with pity upon the sorrows of all in trouble of any kind, for whom our prayers are offered. Remember them, O Lord, in mercy, nourish their souls with patience, comfort them with a sense of your goodness, lift up your countenance upon them, and give them peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Here too, LC.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Jaime, who died in his sleep at age 20 last night, and the comfort of his mother Kim, their friends and family. (Kim is the new director of children's ministry at our church).

Please pray for Gwen's mom -- one of our church friends' mom -- who's also going through a health scare concerning a mass on her ovary; and for my aunt, who is still hanging in there and in good spirits, but whose time here is probably not going to last much longer.
