Thursday Prayer

O God of Life,
plant your grace and favor in us this Advent.
Sow your seed.
Teach us to rest and be still,
and
we will rejoice with you
in life's new abundance.
Amen.

I'm getting a message right now that it's time to be still and rest a while. The Loving Husband has been sick for more than 5 weeks -- Lauren has had strep and complications since Thanksgiving and now Kate has mono. Come to think of it, I don't feel so good either.

Thinking that perhaps I'm getting a message to slow down.

BLESS YOU (for the sneezes)...

Hope you don't share the various germs and get some rest.

peace-

Oh, RM, please do rest and take good care of yourself.

Thanks, everyone, for your prayers for us and Nicholas--it's early days yet on the new med, but so far things have been good.

My spiritual director just let me know that she is overcommitted and cutting back on her ministry so I'm back to that search. I had a good conversation with a Jewish chaplain this morning and we will probably meet soon to test it out....Would appreciate prayers that we'd both get clarity there and if it's not the right match that I'll be led to whoever is.

Also Matt has Lasik surgery today so please pray for that to be successful and safe and for his recovery, which can apparently take a while.

Thanks.
