Friends, please pray that I will find a teaching position for next fall where I can thrive and my family can too. I just sent off the credentials from the dossier service, will begin on the letters and updated resume asap, and will register for the American Academy of Religion meeting in hope of interviews. (First weekend of November, Chicago--meetups welcome :-)).
I am so tired of the endless applications and uncertainty and disappointment with the field so impacted and the mommy track...And I have become willing to move out of state if necessary, as seems likely (so far the closest positions are in Texas and the farthest in NY and Manitoba!).
