Prayers of thanksgiving as I return from a morning beach walk in our wonderful new home. And for the Spirit to create and recreate us here in this holy place.
Please pray for my "pastor face"--I just found out this afternoon that my senior pastor is leaving at the end of the summer. I'm the first to know--the rest of the staff will be told next Monday, and the session will be told next Monday night, and a letter will go out next Tuesday. I'm disappointed--I'd hoped to work with him a long time (It'll have been almost 2 years by the time he goes) as we get along extremely well.
Ultimately I'll need prayers to help me be the calm one in a sea of panic (the last SP was here 31 years, then there were two horrible interims before this one came...he's been here 4 years--I don't think they're prepared for something like this to happen again). but for now I just need some help not letting the news slip.

I am seeing the doctor again tomorrow morning and hope to get on the path to a better idea about what is wrong. Thank you for your prayers, friends.
