O God, star kindler
kindle of flame of love within us
to light our path in days of darkness.

O God, sun warmer,
warm us with your love
to melt the frozen hand of guilt.

O God, moon burnisher,
burnish the shield of faith
that we may seek justice
and follow the ways of peace.

I'll be driving into the hills tonight to interview for an interim job at a troubled church. I have another possibility, more conveniently located and probably less difficult in many ways, but I want to be open to the movement of the Holy Spirit and the possibility that this is where God can best use me. I would appreciate your prayers.
Prayers in abundance, dear one.
Little late but prayers on the way, Songbird, as you and they discern. I am impressed by your openness and by what a gift a good interim can be. (The TEC church I am now worshipping at has had a very hard couple years because this diocese doesn't require them. They brought in a new rector to immediately succeed someone who had been there *twenty-one years* and needless to say he crashed and burned. Led to some good things including increased lay responsbility and ownership of mission but not the ideal way to do that....
