Gracious God,
you have blessed us with many gifts.
You chose us before the world began,
To be your adopted sons and daughters,
And to live through love in your presence.
Give us wisdom and insight to know your purpose;
Give us courage to follow where your Spirit leads us,
Give us generosity to serve you in our brothers and sisters.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Oh, such a good prayer for me on this day.
I have just signed the letter of agreement accepting a new call...it's a big deal - a move across the country big deal.
So prayers of thanksgiving for new position!!!
And prayers that we will be surrounded by grace for a smooth transition.
Prayers for my daughter J who will stay here and begin her life as an adult living in her first apartment. Prayers for my son who will leave friends and start anew as he heads into his Junior year of High School...and that my husband finds a job in the new place. You, know, all that transition stuff. Thanks!

LC, thanks for this prayer. I am struggling with how to be supportive to a friend, and perhaps generosity is the key word I needed to hear.
