Tuesday Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas.
We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day.
We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us.
We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom.
We whose hearts are heavy seek the the joy of your presence.
We are your people, walking in darkness, seeking the light.
To you we say, "Come, Lord Jesus!"
Amen.

Lots of conversations in the last two weeks remind me of the heavy loads of past experiences carried by so many of us. It makes me feel heavy, too, to have the knowledge I have of others' suffering. So, prayers for lightening all around are appreciated.

Prayers requested here on behalf of Leah Sophia of Desert Spirit's Fire.

She says:

"Oh, I don't know how much to say, but I have such a profound sense
of loss of self and my grief is so raw. This culture allows and encourages
people to grieve for friends, family and assorted related, but I'm not
supposed to be unhappy that my countless attempts simply to reweave the
fabric of participation and recognition all have failed. And I am so sick of
the way the Church again has become over-clericized! From its inception,
Christianity has been a lay movement..."

Loving God, I ask that you help Leah find the place that you have prepared for her in ministry. Open the way, Lord, to joy and fulfillment in your service.

And praying for you, Juniper, and all who work in ministry. May you be fed and find places of peace and rest.
