Serenity Prayer: People Version

God, grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change,
The courage to change the one person I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

(I learned this at Family Week while my dad was in an alcoholism treatment program many years ago, and don't know the author. If anyone does, feel free to shout out.)

Please pray for our sister-in-law's mother, Joanne, who will soon undergo a double mastectomy for breast cancer.

ML, Joanne is in my prayers.

Prayers for me please as I enter a time of discernment for myself and the church I serve.

Definitely, RP, and thanks for the prayers for Joanne. Our SIL was sounding very worried, esp. since they just moved to Okinawa for my BIL's work so she can't be there in person to support her mom.
