Finding Our Way Home

"We're all scared and lonesome, but most of the time we keep it hid. It's like every one of us has lost his way so bad we don't even know which way is home any more, only we're ashamed to ask. You know what would happen if we would own up we're lost and ask? Why what would happen is we'd find out home is each other. We'd find out home is Jesus, who loves us lost or found or any whichway."

How appropriate today. My 40 year old niece had several cone biopsies yesterday and called me in hysterics, certain the result would be breast cancer. She is a counselor, a care-giving professional and the hardest thing in the world for her is to be the one who needs - she only wants to be the one who helps.

After a long time on the phone - she in TX, me in CA - she is calmer. Affirming that "until Wednesday, it is only a lump".

Please pray for her with me as she waits for Wednesday to come with the results.
