Life Lesson

If we can learn to praise you in the desert,
in the darkness when we can barely see,
Then we will ever be close to you.

Teach me to love you when it's hardest,
in the driest, most barren moments,
if my thoughts and feelings are distant,
and I will walk with you.

Thanks Net - trying to feel these words right now.

Lots of people's blogs seem to be about crises, so I'm asking for prayers for dear ministers and friends who are struggling to be heard and to live their call.

And prayers for me too. I am waiting for a (literal) call from a church search committee, which met on Monday night to decide their next steps. I'm trying not to assume anything by the fact that I've not heard from them yet....

I too am waiting for that literal phone call and wondering, also trying not to assume. I keep telling myself in God's time...

Y'all,
I just got news that Bad Alice has breast cancer and is having surgery to have one breast removed -- they may choose to remove both, as there are cancerous nodes in both.

Additionally, her husband struggles with chronic pain from interstitial cystitis and her little one has bad seizure disorder. Firecracker is going in to the hospital later in April for monitoring and so they can determine a course of treatment.

Please pray for healing.
