i love this. so beautiful...
Forgive me if I'm sharing something everybody else already knew, but I have been learning a little about icons lately from a friend who is an expert, and I recently learned that in this icon of the Trinity the open space at the front of the table is there for you, the viewer.
Thanks for the beautiful prayer. The heart of this particular faithful could use some Holy Spirit filling. Was it faith when the Israelites cried out to God in their misery in Egypt?
Widening circles so glad you shared this, I couldn't remember the whole icon thing.
I need this as I did my practice talk for the Emmaus walk that takes place the first week in March. I am doing the Obstacles to Grace. But also, I am preparing my sermon, at the last minute. I am also giving a talk Monday at the Minister's gathering on the second work of Jesus, Today you will be with me in Paradise. And I have to prepare 2 reports on candidates for ministry. So come Holy Spirit.
Revabi, I hope you post on your blog about the Walk to Emmaus experience. I would be really interested in hearing about it.
It glows...
Would you please keep my children in your prayers...actually my stepchildren.
My 17-year-old is struggling with "what to do next" after graduation this May (well, we hope he graduates).
My 27 year old stepdaughter is planning to move to our town to live with her new love and go to school. My DH wants her to work for us as office manager. This has the potential to work extremely well and also a history (when she was much younger and more immature) of working extremely badly.
DH and I are supposed to start couples counseling soon and I'm grateful we'll have the opportunity to discuss some of these issues there....
still your prayers would be greatly helpful.
Mary Beth, lifting up your children, you and DH....
I love that icon!
